This beautiful pair of original Capodimonte porcelain lamps are probably 40 - 50 years old. In excellent condition, except for usual wear on fishleg bases, typical of Capodimonte lamps. Previous owner did a "no-no" by trying to polish up one of the fishlegs - probably with Brasso or some other harsh cleaner. This should never be done, as it removes the brass plating down to the cast metal, and looks silver. Capodimonte lamps are hand made, and no two are *exactly* alike. This is normal. |
